Customarily, the control devices, pumps, and other accessories that make up heat exchanger packages are installed at the job site. This increases the man-hours required for on-site field work and limits assembly quality to the installer’s level of qualification. 

Our Packaged Units, which include our high quality heat exchangers, are conveniently packaged and only require connection to the service. All components are sized, mounted, and piped prior to shipment, with the exception of certain items (e.g., thermometers and pressure gauges) which can be damaged during shipping. 

Each package is designed, manufactured, and hydro statically tested in our facilities. All components are supplied by the most reliable and well-respected manufacturers in the United States. Our pre-engineered packaged units save on installation time and guarantee qualified factory assembly. While manufactured from a similar design concept, each unit is customized according to the client’s specific needs and performance requirements.

Waterproofing the Internals of the Steam System

The research into the agent already started in 1970 at the Institute of Energetics in Leipzig, in co-operation with other research institutes. 

Long-term basic research and extensive test periods provided us with comprehensive experience regarding the application of the product as well as its effect on water- and heat-systems. 

The products are aqueous, lipo-amine emulsions.

The surface-active substance ODA® which is contained in the emulsions, is steam-fugacious and therefore gets into all areas of the circuit system. 

It adsorbs on the metal surfaces and forms a very thin, cohesive and hydrophobic protective layer. The latter is resistant to the usual substances present in water- and steam circuits. Thus corrosion and unwanted deposits are inhibited and existing deposits are gradually and carefully removed. 

Corrosion supporting agents, e.g. salts, are displaced from surfaces and crevices. 

All materials used in the circuits are protected and sealing materials as well as membranes made from Elastomeres will not be attacked. 

Due to low concentration levels in the applications the products are environmentally friendly and suffice to the modern ecological and economical demands. 

The handling does not require specific protective measures. 

The agent is supplied ready-to-dose in various cask sizes up to 1000l. On-site compounding is not required. The dosage is carried out with the usually commercially available dosage equipment.

This DIY Solar-Powered Steam Generator Can Reach 250 Celsius

Around 25% of the total energy used in industrialized countries is consumed as heat, much of it generated by burning fossil fuels. The Solar OSE team (Open Source Écologie France) took on this energy sustainability challenge during POC21, developing this solar concentrator to allow mid-sized local enterprises, like small-scale industries or artisans, to generate clean, free heat or steam by harnessing the power of the sun. Their DIY linear Fresnel reflector array collects and transforms solar energy into steam up to 250º Celcius.

Rajamandala Hydro Power Plant in Indonesia

In this project, PT. Rajamandala Electric Power (REP), an Indonesian IPP company invested by Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. and PT. Indonesia Power, will construct and operate the hydropower plant. The electricity will be sold to PT. PLN for 30 years.

The upstream and downstream areas of this plant respectively have a high-capacity hydropower plant in operation and this run-of-river hydropower plant makes use of the effective head between the two hydropower plants. This eliminates the need for constructing a new dam and minimizes the impact on the social environment in the site area.
